What is a Slipped Disc?
Technically, “slipped disc” is an incorrect term for what is actually happening within your spine. Your intervertebral discs are cushions made from cartilage that are positioned between your vertebrae. Chiropractic doctors tend to think of them as your spine’s “Shock Absorbers”. They have a soft, jellylike center that is protected by a fibrous casing. Pressure on the spine, subluxations, and other traumas can cause the spine to become inflamed, irritated, bulge, or even rupture. All of these conditions are more generally referred to as a “slipped disc”. Symptoms of a disc problem is numbness through your arms and legs and sharp shooting pains through your spine.
How Chiropractic Can Treat Disc Problems

Most disc problems can be directly linked to spinal misalignments which your chiropractor will adjust to ensure proper alignments.
